Miami Heat

While Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry are the Miami Heat’s top players, fans are also excited to see some of the younger b-ballers have a breakout season, including Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and KZ Okpala. Last year, the team was swept in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, but we’re betting that they’ll go further this year, barring any substantial injuries. The 2021-22 season started in mid-October and runs through April, so there are plenty of chances to see the Heat in action at the newly named FTX Arena.

Florida Panthers

Okay, it’s too early to start talking Stanley Cup, but these players have been electrifying on the ice: Sam Bennett, Aleksander Barkov, Aaron Ekblad and Sergei Bobrovsky. The team’s most hyped games are against their rival, the Tampa Bay Lightning (back-to-back Stanley Cup champions), so try to grab tickets to these matches. Hockey season just started in October and goes until the end of April—or even longer if they make it to the playoffs.

Miami Dolphins

Unfortunately, the Miami Dolphins have been doing what they do best—disappointing fans every Sunday. Our hometown NFL team always starts the year with so much optimism only to quickly disintegrate. The 2021 season has been plagued by injuries (including QB Tua Tagovailoa) and a string of five straight losses. We’ll look on the bright side and enjoy the fact that we can tailgate in December in shorts and t-shirts.

Miami Marlins

The regular baseball season is on a break for a few months, but the batting action returns in late February, and continues all summer long. During the offseason, the team’s superstar CEO, Derek Jeter, has been making moves to help the team get better through free agency or trades. For sure Sandy Alcantara, Trever Rogers and Pablo Lopez will be on the starting rotation. Edward Cabrera and Jesus Luzardo, too. It’s still too early to tell what the 2022 season holds, but we’re hopeful.
